According to USGS data, the global titanium dioxide production capacity will be 9.819 million tons in 2023, and its increase will mainly come from China. For example, the production capacity of Mexico, Germany, Japan and the United Kingdom is more than 300,000 tons, and the total production capacity accounts for about 13% of the global total production capacity. Other titanium dioxide producers include Australia, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, Canada, India and Russia, etc. They each contribute a certain proportion of production capacity and have an impact on the local chemical market and the global supply chain. Affected by the international market demand and the operation of the titanium dioxide market industry this year, Chemours and Pan-Energy have withdrawn part of their production capacity this year, and China's titanium dioxide production capacity share continues to gradually expand.

As the production capacity of my country's titanium dioxide industry increases, its position in the international arena continues to improve. According to data from China Chemical Industry News, by the end of 2023, the effective production scale of 42 full-process titanium dioxide enterprises in the industry will be 5.5 million tons/year, and the average capacity utilization rate of the industry will be 75.6%. The production of titanium dioxide is mainly concentrated in Sichuan, Henan, Shandong, Anhui, Guangxi and other places, accounting for more than 66% of the national output. By the end of 2025, China's total titanium dioxide production capacity will reach at least 7.13 million tons/year.
